Jekyll Island is known as a nature lover’s paradise with approximately 65% of this lush, barrier island off the coast of Georgia designated as a State Forest Preserve.

In addition to the beach, you’ll find 23 miles of biking and hiking paths through some of the most inspiring natural habitat.

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center offers an outstanding, museum-style learning experience and a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center and veterinary clinic – is the first of its kind in Georgia.

Guests at the Oceanside Inn and Suites share the same stretch of beachfront where maritime activities like boating, fishing, dolphin-watching and "shrimping" are available, though relaxation is still the top commodity.

The weather's almost perfect year round, and the tourist population is under control since the island is only 35% developed and not overly commercialized. You'll find few cars and no traffic lights, and plenty of peace and quiet.

Jekyll Island's newest and most exciting dining experience, The SandBar and Grill featuring seven flat screen HDTV's for outstanding event viewing, pool tables & games. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Don't miss happy hour 4-6pm.

Share Some History and Some Southern Hospitality
Jekyll Island Oceanfront Hotel

Georgia's smallest barrier island at 5,700 acres, Jekyll Island offers a unique combination of rich history, unspoiled natural beauty.

Throughout its history, Jekyll Island is a place where people have imagined an alternative.  People have come here to be different, and they still do.  From Native Americans, to English colonists, to French privateers, to the members of the Jekyll Island Club - people have imagined Jekyll Island as a place where dreams can be built.

The historic landmarks in this sleepy town delight visitors both young and old, making it the perfect setting for a multi-generational family reunion or an unforgettable wedding.

There's a non-denominational chapel that dates back to the late 1800's and several other historic landmark buildings.
