You might call me an artist. I paint pictures with my words, sharing my stories and knowledge with clients and helping them to imagine the hotels, properties and activities of a destination. As a visual person, I call on photographs, brochures and Web sites to add depth to my descriptions. My enthusiasm brings yet another dimension, and I find myself getting as excited as my clients about their trip to come.
Before I started working for Peak Travel in 2005, I was one of their clients. In fact, they booked my honeymoon 20 years ago. Now I enjoy planning any type of trip, whether it’s for families, groups, individuals, honeymooners or couples renewing their vows. It’s particularly fun to work with people who are traveling to a destination for the first time, allowing me to take them step-by-step through all the details and match them to the perfect vacation.
As a Hawaiian Destination Specialist, I travel to the islands six to seven times a year, doing in-depth research and staying on top of trends, renovations, hotels and activities. I’m fascinated by the history and culture of Hawaii, and I’m touched by the gracious, generous people who live there. Throughout the islands, I have personal relationships with hoteliers, concierges and managers, and I ask them to keep an extra special eye on my clients, whether it’s through upgrades or amenities delivered to the guest room. As I formulate an itinerary, I try to give people the best value, which isn’t simply measured by cost but by what they get in return.
