I got a head start on my life in the travel industry at the age of 21, when I became a flight attendant. I flew with TWA for three years, a wonderful job that allowed me to go to a huge variety of destinations all around the globe. In 1990, after marriage and grown kids, I made the easy transition to my current position with Altour Palisades, where I like to plan adventure travel. Since I’m very detail-oriented and do lots of research, I pride myself on tying up all the loose ends for my clients before their trip, even if they’re going on a cruise or organized tour.
My extensive travels have resulted in worlds of knowledge, from certain hotels that I’ve seen on fam trips, to cultural traditions and the best way to approach them as a visitor. I give my clients valuable feedback on the must-see attractions and must-do activities of a certain destination, especially things they might never have heard of. And, I share experiences that clients should – or shouldn’t – try themselves.
Africa is one of my real loves. I’ve been there eight times, exploring it country by country. So far my favorite is Botswana, which appeals to me because of its mobil tent camping. Since I’m a scuba diver, I’m a big fan of Tahiti. In fact, I have visited all of the continents, so no matter where you’d like to travel, I’ll do my best to make it happen.
