I’ve always enjoyed planning things. In fact, I’ve coordinated weddings for several of my friends, because not only is it fun but I’m good at it. Combine that with a love of travel and it’s no wonder I decided on a profession as a travel consultant, a job I’ve held at Kern Travel for the past year-and-a-half. It’s a great example of my philosophy: find your passion in life and happiness will follow.

I’m a firm believer that knowledge is power, so I’m dedicated to learning about as many of the world’s destinations and cultures as possible. My comprehensive training has resulted in certifications as Official Cancun Counselor, Maui Destination Specialist and Carnival Cruise Lines Specialist, and I am currently working towards my certification for Royal Caribbean Cruises. To enhance my formal training, I’ve had the opportunity to go on some amazing trips, including three wonderful nights in romantic Venice. My husband and I took part in a tour of Ireland, and I’d love to go back and see that country again on our own so we can explore more of its lush, green countryside. A jaunt to Greece brought me face to face with incredible Athens landmarks like the Acropolis and Parthenon along with the picturesque villages of Mykonos island. During a cruise in the Caribbean, I discovered some great places for duty-free shopping, and I learned how to negotiate prices with the locals. Other memorable adventures-by-sea have taken me to Mexico and Croatia.

My first trip to Hawaii was a real eye-opener, because Honolulu, with its high-rises, didn’t look anything like what I pictured. It wasn’t until I flew to the lush and laid-back island of Kauai that I saw the Hawaii of my imagination. That’s precisely the kind of important information I share with my clients. No matter who walks through my door, I’m excited to help them find passion and happiness through travel.
