I like to call myself an escape artist. By combining my natural people skills and ability to listen, I’m able to put together travel itineraries that take people away from their regular lives and immerse them in extraordinary adventures.

Every day since I started with All Horizons Travel 13 years ago, I have looked forward to going to work. Part of the reason I enjoy my job so much is my long friendship with the agency’s owners, but additionally, travel is my passion. I even make house calls! Everyone’s schedules get busy, and sometimes it’s just easier for me to come to the client’s dwelling for a relaxed and productive planning session.

I particularly enjoy coordinating groups, whether it’s two people or 125, which was my largest cruise group to date. Recently, I’ve put together a Sports Travel Department that specializes in packages surrounding events like the PGA Masters, Indy 500 and Kentucky Derby. I work closely with all the major cruise companies, and I’m equally adept at planning land vacations to Tahiti, Fiji, Hawaii, Mexico and Greece, not to mention incentive travel.

When I send clients to a foreign country, I remind them that they are guests of the culture, so they should treat their hosts as they would like to be treated. Things work at different paces in different places, so visitors must have patience. It’s okay if the place you visit doesn’t look and feel like the place you call home; that’s part of the beauty and excitement of travel.
